Romance is an unincorporated community in Jackson County, West Virginia.[1]

Romance is an unincorporated community in Jackson County, West Virginia. It is located along Sugar Creek Rd (Co. Rt. 42/8). It used to have a post office with a zip code of 25175, but it closed on February 18, 1986.[2] The area between Middle Fork and Advent is also considered Romance.

Romance was named after an early resident Romance Parsons.

An article about Romance was written in the Charleston Gazette called "The Rocky Road To Romance".

CR 42/8 was paved for the first time in 1999. The whole road was finished in 2000.
